At both sizes where the two brands meet, the current EcoFlow unit has the stronger inverter, the faster published charge spec, the higher solar ceiling, and the better warranty, usually for the same or less money at list price. Jackery keeps two real advantages: the Explorer 1000 v2 is the lightest unit in its class, and Jackery's sale pricing dips low enough to change the answer. The brand-level differences
Warranty. EcoFlow backs the DELTA 3, DELTA 3 Plus, and RIVER 3 Plus with a flat 5 years. Jackery's current LiFePO4 models carry 3 years, plus a 2-year extension that applies only to orders placed at jackery.com. Buy from Amazon or a big-box store and the Jackery is a 3-year product against EcoFlow's 5. That conditional matters more than the headline numbers suggest.
Published specs versus claims. EcoFlow publishes the wattage behind its fast charging: 1,500W X-Stream AC input, which is how the DELTA 3 states 0-100% in 56 minutes. Jackery publishes only the outcome, 1.7 hours for the Explorer 1000 v2, or 1 hour in the app's Emergency Charge mode, with no input wattage stated anywhere on the spec sheet. We have no evidence the times are wrong. But one brand shows its work and the other asks you to trust it, and on a spec-driven purchase that difference is worth weight.
Apps. Both run WiFi and Bluetooth apps. EcoFlow's adds Smart Output Priority, charge scheduling, and Storm Guard. Jackery's ChargeShield 2.0 gives you fast, quiet, and Emergency Charge modes, and the Emergency Charge mode is what unlocks the 1000 v2's 1-hour recharge claim, so the app is not optional if you want the headline speed.
Expandability. Both brands expand, differently. EcoFlow's DELTA 3 series accepts extra batteries from across the DELTA line, to roughly 5kWh. Jackery expansion lives only in the Plus line, but its ceiling is much higher: the Explorer 2000 Plus grows to 12kWh with battery packs and 24kWh with two units in parallel. If you are planning a system that keeps growing, that is the one category Jackery clearly leads.
The 1,000Wh class: Explorer 1000 v2 vs DELTA 3 and DELTA 3 Plus
At list price this is not close. For $100 less than the Jackery's $799 list, the DELTA 3 gives you an 1,800W inverter against 1,500W, a 56-minute published full charge against a 1.7-hour claim, 500W of solar input against 400W, and 5 years of warranty against 3. Both are 4,000-cycle LiFePO4 packs, but EcoFlow rates its 4,000 cycles to 80% remaining capacity and Jackery rates its to 70%, so the EcoFlow pack is specced to age better too. The DELTA 3 Plus adds a second solar port for a 1,000W total ceiling; pay the extra $140 for it only if you actually run more than 500W of panels.

Jackery's rebuttal is two numbers. The Explorer 1000 v2 weighs 23.8 lb, 3.8 lb less than either DELTA, and if you carry the unit from truck to table every trip, that is a real difference, not a rounding error. And its street price swings hard: $799 list, but sale lows around $400-449 showed up in July 2026. At $449 the Jackery is the value pick of the entire class. At list, it is the third-best unit in a three-unit race.
The small units: Explorer 300 Plus vs RIVER 3 Plus
This one is even more lopsided. The RIVER 3 Plus (286Wh, $259) carries a 600W inverter against the Explorer 300 Plus's 300W, accepts 220W of solar against 100W, recharges fully in 1 hour against 2, and carries EcoFlow's 5-year warranty. The Jackery's advantages are 2.1 lb of weight and, sometimes, a few dollars of price.

Two honesty notes. The Explorer 300 Plus looks end-of-line: Jackery's US site navigation now lists the 300 v2, 300D, and 300 without the Plus, and our $239-299 band for it comes from third-party listings rather than Jackery's page, so treat the price as low confidence. On the other side, the RIVER 3 Plus was sold out at EcoFlow when we checked, and EcoFlow states its life as 10+ years to 80% without publishing the cycle count behind that.
The verdict, by use case
- Buying at list price, any size: EcoFlow. The DELTA 3 for most people, the DELTA 3 Plus if you run over 500W of solar.
- Small unit for phones, lights, and a laptop: the RIVER 3 Plus, full stop. Buy the Explorer 300 Plus only at a clearance price.
- Lightest possible 1,000Wh unit: the Explorer 1000 v2, at 23.8 lb.
- Jackery on a deep sale: if the Explorer 1000 v2 is sitting at $400-449, take it. No EcoFlow matches that price per watt-hour.
- A system you plan to grow past 5kWh: the Explorer 2000 Plus, the only unit either brand sells with a 12 to 24kWh ceiling.
